We are the specialists at understanding you and food
There are two factors that influence your desire to eat; hunger and appetite. And these two factors differ dramatically. Hunger is your primary physical drive to eat, and is controlled by your internal body mechanisms. On the other hand, appetite is your primary psychological drive to eat, which is affected by your external food choice mechanisms, such as sight and smell. Appetite commonly encourages you to find and eat food often in the absence of obvious hunger. In choosing what, when and how much to eat, research has found that in today's society you are more likely to respond to external appetite-related forces than to internal hunger-related forces. Research also explains that by responding habitually to these external appetite-related forces, often in the absence of hunger, makes it easy for you to unconsciously overeat and gain weight.

We understand that whether you are just a little overweight, or very overweight, it's upsetting to have an uneasy relationship with your body, your food choices, and the amount you eat.

What foods you should and shouldn't eat, what you ate yesterday, what you may eat tomorrow - it feels like what you eat, and your weight, is forever on your mind. Most likely you have experienced it all: dieting, bingeing, depriving yourself of nourishment, obsessing about weight, and trying to satisfy your emotions with food. And it's very common to wish that one day you will be able to change it all, and finally have a successful relationship with yourself and food.

Well, the best permanent way to establish a healthy connection with yourself and food is to learn about mindful eating; to say yes and no to food in just the right balance in order to maintain a healthy, comfortable weight. You can learn to eat the way mindful eaters do, naturally and instinctively, by letting us help you.

As an adult learner, you can change your thinking about food, eating, weight, exercise, and your body. You can develop exceptionally effective strategies to deal with feelings rather than eating or focusing on your weight, and you can change your behaviours so that they are in connection with good physical health.
